FG Awarded N5.9B to 16,629 Npower Batch C beneficiaries in Kano. In today’s Npower news, the government gave 16,629 Npower Batch C beneficiaries N5.9B. In Kano State, not 177, as the misleading headline on the internet says. People who work for the Federal Government say that they want to point out this false headline from @MobilePunch, which says that the FG trained 177 young people in smartphone repair with N5.9bn. FG said that “According to the story, as reported by Punch, the amount in question is for 16,629 youths in Batch C of the NPower Program in Kano.” People at FG hope the newspaper will make the correct changes.

On Thursday, the Federal Government said that it would spend N5.9 billion on training, tools, and monthly stipends for the Batch C N-Power participants in Kano State who were chosen by the government.

During the closing ceremony of the Npower N-Skills program in Kano, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disasters Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, said that not less than 177 young people had been trained on how to repair and service smart phones. This is part of the Npower program.
