NDE BEGINS SMALL SCALE ENTERPRISES (SSE) PROGRAMME 2022/2023. Small Scale Enterprises (SSE) Program of the Netherlands Development Agency (NDE) for the years 2022/2023 is now accepting applications. The National Directorate of Employment (NDoE) is the primary government agency in Nigeria responsible for job creation. The Small Scale Enterprises [SSE] program is one of the four core programs of the NDE, and it is designed to instill entrepreneurial skills in unemployed Nigerian graduates and other interested individuals. It is one of the four core programs of the NDE.
SMALL-SIZE BUSINESSES (SME) (SSE)
One of the four core programmes of the NDE, the Small Scale Enterprises [SSE] program is designed to instill the entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and self-reliance in unemployed Nigerian graduates and other interested persons with a view to assisting them set up their own businesses in order to create employment for themselves and other Nigerians.
NDE-ENTERPRISE AND FINANCE COUNSELING CLINIC [NDE-EFCC]
This initiative is aimed at unemployed graduates from higher education institutions who will be exposed to a novel mode of business training as part of the program.
Beneficiaries are exposed to the following experiences of NDE loan recipients who have been successful:

GRADUATE ENTERPRISE ATTACHMENT SCHEME.
In order to provide temporary employment opportunities for unemployed graduates from tertiary institutions, the Graduate Enterprise Attachment Scheme [GEAS] was established in 2009. Participants in the scheme are exposed to entrepreneurial skills, while work cultures and attitudes are instilled in them, all of which will improve their employability in the future. If you’re thinking about starting your own business, this would be a great opportunity for you to gain valuable on-the-job experience and increase your chances of being successful. The attachment period is for a period of six months.
PREPARATION, PROCESSING, AND PACKAGING TRAINING SCHEME [PPPTS] (PowerPoint Presentation):
Aiming to train the unemployed, including graduates, non-graduates, and women, the Preparation Processing and Packaging Training Scheme [PPPTS] teaches them how to prepare, process, and package agricultural and non-agricultural products in accordance with international best practices. The PPPTS is funded by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development. The training will last three weeks and will include two weeks of practical attachment to identified enterprises that are known for specific product processing and packaging in their locality, followed by six days of theoretical training on the same product and business management.
Entrepreneurship Start-Up and Development Training Scheme (ESDTS):
This scheme provides training for those who are starting or developing a business. Unemployed graduates from tertiary institutions, matured people, and retirees are given business training with the goal of instilling entrepreneurial traits in them by assisting them to conceptualize and develop their business ideas into marketable products and services that can be sold at a profitable profit. It is aimed at assisting beneficiaries in writing a bankable feasibility report, among other things. Attendance at this training session is required in order to be eligible for loans from the Enterprise Creation Fund.
MICRO BUSINESS SKILLS TRAINING SCHEME [MBSTS]: The MBSTS stands for Micro Business Skills Training Scheme.
The training is intended to provide school leavers, artisans, and graduates of the NDE’s programs with an introduction to the fundamentals of business operations and administration.
MICRO ENTERPRISE ENHANCEMENT SCHEME [MEES]:
This scheme is designed to help small and medium-sized businesses grow.
The scheme is intended to meet the needs of small- and medium-sized business owners who wish to expand the scope of their operations through loan financing.
ENTERPRISE CREATION FUND (ECF) :
Loans are disbursed to participants in SSE training programs whose feasibility reports have been evaluated and determined to be viable under this program. Applicants for these loans must be graduates or non-graduates who have received assistance through the Start-Your-Own-Business [SYOB] and Basic Business Training [BBT] programs.
In accordance with the agreed-upon milestones between the Directorate and loan beneficiaries, loans are disbursed to the loan beneficiaries.

TRAINING FOR WOMEN IN INDIVIDUAL INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES
Women are trained in business skills to enable them to establish specific skill-based enterprises in the shortest amount of time possible. This training is conducted under the Women Employment Branch [WEB]. The women’s newly acquired skills enable them to generate income with the goal of enabling them to become self-employed. At the conclusion of the training, selected participants are provided with seed funds to enable them to set up and put into practice the skills they have learned during the training.
